CAPITAL PRIDE PARADE

OPSEU will be participating in Sunday's Capital Pride Parade!! Come join us!! Here is a message from Robert Hampsey, Chair of the Rainbow Alliance:

Good afternoon members, allies, friends. I hope this email finds everyone well. The 25th Annual Capital Pride Parade is next weekend, Sunday, August 29th, 2010 in Ottawa.

The parade route will have us marching directly in front of the Parliament Buildings, of the Nation’s Capital . With the increasing pressure being put onto the backs of working people, we have a unique opportunity to show both the Federal and Provincial governments they can no longer take advantage: OPSEU will stand up, speak out and come together in solidarity!!

We're asking OPSEU members to meet us at Bay and Wellington Streets (the Garden of the Provinces and Territories) at 12:00 noon. The parade begins at 1:00PM so it is critical that everyone be in position before then. If there are any changes or updates, I will forward the information to you as soon as I get it!

Thanks and see you next weekend!!
Robert

OPSEU Equity Chairs
OPSEU Rainbow Alliance
Dave and I look forward to seeing you there!!
